Wings in the Night
Sunday October 25th
10:30am- 11:30am
at Leonard R. Pierce Memorial Park
What will the session look like?
Create Your Bat Wings
Upon arrival, children will be welcomed to a table to create their own bat wings using contact paper and natural materials like leaves and sticks. These wings can be worn or carried as children move through the space.
Catching Insects & Batty Play
Children will learn how bats find their food by catching “insects” throughout the space—scooping, collecting, and discovering where different insects might be found. They can explore stations including flying through a winding path, exploring simple sound play, and resting or “hanging” like bats.
Read Aloud / Snack / Stamps & Stickers / Nature Neighbor Cards
We will save time at the end for a read aloud with a snack and time to wind down. And of course, we love our Nature Neighbor cards, stamps and stickers to send off!
