AUGUST POP UP SESSION!

SPLASH & DASH ON THE CREEK

Sunday August 9TH

10:30am- 11:30am

at Leonard R. Pierce Memorial Park

What will the session look like?

Build an Otter Raft

Upon arrival, children will be welcomed to a table with natural materials to create their own floating “otter raft” using sticks, bark, and shells. Children can design and build their raft before bringing it down to the creek to test and float.

Splash & Dash Creek Exploration

Once Explorers and Guides have settled in, we will begin constructing tents and decorating with natural materials. We can make different size shelters for kids and critters.

Water Play & Creek Discoveries

Throughout the session, children can move between open-ended stations including pouring and scooping water, building with rocks and sticks, and exploring how water moves, carries, and changes the landscape.

Read Aloud/Snack/Stamps & Stickers/
Nature Neighbor Cards

We will save time at the end for a read aloud with a snack and time to wind down. And of course, we love our Nature Neighbor cards, stamps and stickers to send off!
